Project Overview
The objective of HealthLink was to simplify the healthcare experience by creating a patient-centered digital platform that reduces confusion and increases accessibility. It was aimed to transform fragmented systems into one intuitive ecosystem that empowers patients to manage their health with confidence.
HealthLink is a digital healthcare platform designed to bridge the gap between patients and providers through a single interface. It reimagines how individuals access medical records, schedule appointments, and stay connected to their care journey without feeling overwhelmed.
HealthLink emerged from observing how frustrating and fragmented healthcare systems can feel for patients, especially those navigating multiple providers and digital portals. The project began with one core question: What if managing your health felt calm instead of complicated?
Process
I started with deep user research, focusing on patients with varying levels of digital literacy. Through interviews, empathy mapping, and journey analysis, I uncovered recurring friction points such as confusing navigation, scattered records, and anxiety around missing important updates. These insights shaped our core strategy: reduce cognitive load and prioritize clarity above all else.
From there, I restructured the entire experience around a centralized dashboard model. I developed simplified user flows, built low-fidelity wireframes to test navigation logic, and iterated into high-fidelity prototypes with strong visual hierarchy and accessible typography. Accessibility was not treated as a feature but as a foundation, guiding layout decisions, color contrast, spacing, and content structure throughout the design process.
Clarity, empathy, trust. Every decision - from type scale to information grouping - was made with one goal: Give users control over their health journey.
Final Design
The final design is a unified, accessible healthcare dashboard that brings medical records, appointments, and communication into one intuitive and human-centered experience.
HealthLink represents my belief that thoughtful design can transform systems that feel overwhelming into experiences that feel empowering. This project challenged me to simplify complex healthcare workflows without stripping away their depth or nuance. It reinforced my commitment to empathy-driven design, proving that clarity, accessibility, and human-centered thinking can reshape how people experience something as critical as their own health journey.
